Department description and responsibilities

We provide and manage on a global scale a variety of IT services covering all IT layers: from network, server & cloud infrastructure, end user devices & Service Desk to best-in-class applications and data & digital solutions.


Project description

You will join the JUMP program, which transitions Umicore’s decentralized SAP ECC systems to a centralized S4HANA environment. As part of the Quality domain, you will support the migration and harmonization of quality management processes across multiple business units and manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with other SAP domains to ensure end-to-end process coverage and alignment.


Primary Tasks and responsibilities

• 
  Support the SAP QM implementation within the JUMP program
  • Ensure integration of Quality processes with other SAP domains (e.g., EWM, MM, SD, CO)
  • Execute migration activities using tools such as LSMW and S4 Cockpits
  • Analyze and optimize quality inspection, defect handling, and audit processes
  • Align with other QM team members and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Document SAP QM configurations and technical specifications
  • Conduct system testing and validation
  • Work within custom-built and template-based SAP environments
  • Support change requests and tickets when project workload allows
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior consultants if applicable
  
  
  Technical profile requirements
• 
  Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in SAP QM projects
  • Proven experience with end-to-end SAP QM implementations and integration with other domains
  • Experience with migration tools (LSMW, S4 Cockpits)
  • Debugging skills are preferred
  • Familiarity with custom-built and template-based SAP environments

Main skills / experience required

• 7+ years hands-on experience in SAP QM projects
• Proven end-to-end SAP QM implementations & cross-domain integrations
• Experience with migration tools (LSMW, S4 Cockpits)
• Debugging skills preferred
• Familiar with custom-built & template-based SAP environments

Period

• Start: ASAP, latest onboarding by 31/10/2025
• End: 31/12/2025
• Extension possible into 2026 / Q1 2027

Days per week

• Minimum 3 days/week onsite
• Up to 80% onsite may be acceptable

Onsite/Remote

• Mainly onsite at Hoboken (Belgium)
• Additional travel (10–20%) to Olen & other manufacturing sites around go-live

Mandatory languages

• English: fluent
• French: must-have (mandatory for QM role)
• Dutch: preferred
